Kilimanjaro Expedition Dispatches
Berg Adventures Kilimanjaro Climb, Culture Tour and Wildlife Safari
Lemosho Traverse, January 20 - Febuary 11, 2010
David and Darcy Robertson, from Calgary, Alberta, embark on a unique customized trip to Africa. While David climbs his way to the summit of Kilimanjaro, through the old growth forest and bizarre moonscapes of the mountain, Darcy will experience the culture of Africa on a Berg Adventures Culture Tour. Among her adventures will be a visit to a traditional Chagga home, a night spent in a Maasai camp, and the opportunity to meet the bushmen, or “click” people.
After this, David and Darcy will begin a seven day safari together. This trip will take them through the Tarangire and Serengeti National Parks where they will explore Africa’s diverse and plentiful wildlife, such as lions, wildebeest, zebras, and flamingos. They will spend time at the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the true Wonders of the World. They will also take a flight in a hot air balloon to experience Africa from the air.
