After a full month of the ultimate Nepal adventure, with a stop in Tibet, the Sellers family expedition has come to an end. The Sellers began their expedition with a visit to the Khumbu, where they experienced the slow-paced, easy-going culture of the Sherpa’s as they trekked to Everest Base camp. After their visit to EBC, Scot and his Sherpa team successful made it to the top of Island Peak. Next, after three exciting weeks in the Khumbu the Sellers family travelled to the ancient and unscathed region of Mustang where they explored the famous “Sky Caves of Nepal” and the walled city of Lo Manthang. Finally they stopped in for a visit to Tibet where they toured the iconic city of Lhasa. Enjoy some of the amazing photo highlights from these outstanding adventures!

We began our exciting adventure in the city of Kathmandu. We were so excited to meet the locals. We received our “Tika” blessings and hung out with the Hindu Holy men.
We stopped at Boudha.
As we began our trek to Everest Base Camp we passed the Mani Walls with “Om Mani Padme Hum” inscribed on each (“Hail to the jewel in the lotus”).
Our first views of the famous Himalayan peaks were spectacular along the trek to Namche.
Here Everest is exceptionally clear from Namche Hill.
All along the trail we meet friendly Yaks.
Our visit to the Tangboche Monastery
Just for fun Alyssa hitched a ride on Ang Temba’s horse!
We were very excited to meet Temba’s wife Yangzing at their lodge in Panboche.
We had amazing views of one of the most iconic mountains Ama Dablam from Pangboche.
Having some family fun on the way to Periche
We passed many trains of Yaks carrying heavy loads towards Everest Base Camp.
We made it! Here we are on the summit of Kala Patar 18,550ft.
Having some fun on the glacier on our way to Everest Base Camp!
We were excited to see Everest Base Camp. The entire walk from Gorak shep to EBC was along the rubble and ice of the Khumbu Glacier.
After a visit to EBC Scot and his Sherpa team climbed Island Peak!
Scot and Sandu stand proud on top of Island Peak 20,305ft.
After a well-deserved rest day Scot and Temba made a visit to Ama Dablam Base Camp, where a few climbers were getting ready to attempt the summit.
Time to begin our next adventure; exploring the region of Mustang! We travelled a part of the way by jeep.
And trekked for parts through unique landscapes.
And even travelled by horseback to the “Famous Sky Caves of Nepal”.
The walled city Lo Manthang is such a unique and fascinating place
The people of Lo Manthang are very friendly and were always hard at work.
The ancient monastery of Lo Manthang is a captivating sight.
Our visit to the famous “Sky Caves of Nepal” is one we will never forget.
So many caves adorn the mountains in the Chosar Valley and we were lucky to be able to go inside a few of them.
It is amazing to think that people lived in these caves hundreds of years ago.
They day we left Lo Manthang was Keely’s birthday. She got to ride over the Mustang region in a helicopter!
The views from the helicopter are ones we will never forget.
The final stop of our Berg Adventures expedition was Tibet, where we toured the city of Lhasa and visited some of the most famous sites such as the Potala Palace.
And the Sera Monastery
And so our month long adventure has come to an end. We have so many stories and memories to last us a lifetime!
