Kilimanjaro Expedition Dispatches
Kilimanjaro Lemosho Traverse and 3-Day Safarie
Lemosho Traverse, February 23 – March 10, 2014
Join our team of five friends from the United States as they attempt to stand on the highest point of Africa and one of the Seven Summits; Kilimanjaro towering at 19,340ft (5,895m). The team will traverse Kilimanjaro via the Lemosho route and explore the changing landscapes as they make their way up this great mountain. Before attempting the summit, they will have the chance to spend an incredible night at 18,700ft/5,699m in the mountains crater.
After their climb to the rooftop of Africa, two team members will return home to the United States while the rest of the team will continue their adventure with a 3-day Wildlife Safari. The team, along with their Berg Adventures Safari guides, will be on the lookout for the diverse wildlife found in Tarangire, Ngorongoro and the Serengeti. We invite you to follow the team as we document their climb and safari through our daily dispatches.
