Kilimanjaro Expedition Dispatch
February 28, 2014 – Watching the Clouds Roll Through Below Us at 14,200 feet
Hello this is George, I am on the mountain on dispatch on Day 3. Yesterday was amazing, the food was fantastic! When we made it to camp everyone just unpacked their stuff and we all hung out. Most of us took naps. Dinner was pretty good.
This morning when we woke up everything was on schedule and breakfast was fantastic as usual. Then we got back on the trail to hike and we stopped for lunch which was also really good. It was a nice walk across an open field and it wasn’t very cold or windy. After lunch we had about an hour and a half walk up to our overnight campsite called the Moir Hut Camp.
After we dropped our gear off, we took a hike up to about 14,200 feet. We are all hanging out here watching the clouds pass through below us. It is just an open view and it is fantastic!
