Kilimanjaro Expedition Dispatch
September 9, 2010 – Lava Tower Camp at 15,000ft/4,572m
This is Gilles and Yves calling from the beautiful Lava Tower. We're a little bit out of breath right now at this altitude of almost 4,600m. But everything is fine and we're enjoying the view.
We acclimatized well on our hike today. Now we'll rest tonight as we get ready for the big day tomorrow when we'll climb the Barranco Wall on our way to Karanga Camp. We hear it's one of the most challenging days on the mountain!
We want to say hi to everyone back home; Caroline, Nicholas and Catherine. We love you.
