Kilimanjaro Expedition Dispatch

September 5, 2010 – Acclimatizing on Mount Meru

This is Yves and Gilles calling with our first dispatch from Mount Meru here in Tanzania. We arrived in Arusha safely yesterday after an 18 hour flight from Canada.

We had a beautiful day today. It was an acclimatization day and we walked through old growth and tropical forest and up to a waterfall on Mount Meru. Our guides are great, we're having a good time and enjoying ourselves. Tomorrow is the big day when we'll start heading up Kilimanjaro!
