March 19, 2009 – Mike Sends Birthday Wishes Back Home

Hello this is Mike. I’m calling you from Karanga Valley which is at 13,900 ft/ 4,000 m.

Today I climbed the great Barranco Wall and it was fantastic. I really enjoyed it!

There was a lot of up and down hiking and great scenery again today. We are now at camp and about to have dinner. I’m excited to continue hiking up tomorrow.

I’m still feeling good and strong. I also wanted to say to my “old man” Brian, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
