Kilimanjaro Expedition Dispatch

January 7, 2013 – Made It to Stella Point

Bruce and Janet have made it to Stella Point 18,700ft (5,700m). They will spend the night at Crater Camp and wake up early tomorrow to reach the summit of Kilimanjaro, at Uhuru Peak.

Unfortunately, the audio for their dispatches are not clearly coming through, but Bruce and Janet have both commented that they are having an incredible experience. They are really enjoying the guides leading them up the mountain and cannot get enough of the breathtaking views.

Well, what an experience. It is definitely fantastic to be standing here at Stella Point… I’d like to say hi to everyone, we made it here successfully! -Bruce

Oh man, totally stoked to be up here! It is an amazing experience. We are 45m away from Uhuru Peak. I don’t think we could have done it without this amazing staff of Berg Adventures. They’ve treated us so good and are so supported. We love every minute of it. I want to say hi to everyone! -Janet
