Kilimanjaro Expedition Dispatch
August 28, 2012 – Farewell to Tanzania: Part II
During safari we normally eat lunch in the lodges, but Phil loved the boxed lunches.
We were all hoping that Marielle would be able to understand the instructions for the exit door if we needed to use it.
Lizzy was ready at the controls. Fortunately, the pilot seemed to know what he was doing and she didn’t need to help him much.
Back in Arusha, Steph smiling as she deplaned.
Phil and Luc still had some lunch left.
John was still smiling from the safari.
Alan and Eric met us at the airport. In Arusha, showers awaited, but we knew that several people wanted to do some quick shopping before leaving on our international flights later that evening.
While the group showered, Berg Adventures staff enjoyed reviewing the dispatches from safari in the lobby.

The bus looked big, but once our duffel bags came out we realized we needed all of that space.
Left: Alan was a wonderful help in the final hours and at the airport; Right: Cyprian helped load the bags onto the bus through the windows and escorted the group to Kilimanjaro International Airport.
A final group photo: The fabulous team, amazing staff, and unforgettable adventures that we will remember for the rest of our lives.
