Kilimanjaro Expedition Dispatch

December 12, 2011 – Across the Shira Plateau and On to the Lava Tower

Hello this is Ryan speaking for the group today. We had no dispatch yesterday because there wasn’t a strong signal when we tried to call. Yesterday we had a gradual four hour climb – not too steep – over the Shira ridge and across the Shira Plateau. We made it to the Moir Camp where we stayed last night. Today we have a short climb to the Lava Tower ahead of us. Everyone in good spirits, in good health and we’re doing really well. The guides are taking great care of us. Love to all of our people back home – Maria, Joanna, Jess, Jenni and the kids. We all love you and miss you. We’ll call again soon.
