January 22, 2010 – Safari in the Crater

We arrived last night at the beautiful Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge on the edge of the Ngorongoro Crater. This morning we got up early and took a drive into the crater in the Landrover. It was absolutely beautiful and the weather was fantastic. We saw herds of wildebeest, zebra, and buffalo. Also, we saw some hyenas, lots of elephants, and quite a few lions.

Tomorrow we’ll be heading back to Arusha and getting ready for our flight home tomorrow night.
