Kilimanjaro Expedition Dispatch

December 28, 2009 – Success! Kevin Reaches the Top of Africa

Julius, Kevin’s chief guide called us from the summit of Kilimanjaro on the 27th to report that Kevin had made it to the top and was looking great. With clouds and snow all around, but with all of Africa beneath them Kevin and his team took a well deserved rest on the very top before descending to Crater Camp, still at 18,700 feet, where they will spend the night before descending to the lower elevations. Congratulations Kevin!

Update from Kevin on Morning of Monday. December 28th: “Hi this Kevin. I just want to report that we had a good night sleeping in the Crater and we are on our way down now.”
