Kilimanjaro Expedition Dispatch
March 5, 2008 – Sun Shines at Moir Hut Camp
When the sun shines from camp we can get a stunning view
of the Kibo glacier on top of Kilimanjaro
Hi this is Tracy calling you from Moir Hut Camp again. It is Thursday morning at 9:00 am and I am now sitting outside of our breakfast tent. I’m sitting outside because the clouds have parted and we are finally able to see the full view of Kilimanjaro and the top of the Kibo glacier glistening in the sunlight. We have fabulous views all around!
Everyone is feeling absolutely fabulous. This is a really strong group. There is still great energy and we had plenty of laughs again this morning.
We are now preparing to make our way for the gradual incline up to Lava Tower. We will be at camp for lunchtime so it will be a shorter day today; everyone is looking forward to a little bit of a break. At that point we will have lunch and then head up to the Lava Tower.
