September 29, 2008 – Team Has a Wonderful Day on Safari
Hello this is Deanna. We are having a lovely day and our safari is continuing. We left yesterday morning at 8:00 am from Arusha to start on this safari. As soon as we reached the Tarangire National Park gate, we began to see animals.

It is always an impressive sight to see elephants walk by.
At the park gate we saw zebras and monkeys, continued down the road and there was a large herd of wildebeest that crossed the road in front of us. A little further on we saw some elephants and were able to stay and wait as they crossed the road. It was a very exciting experience to watch them so close to our vehicle.
The rest of the morning and that afternoon we saw many more animals. We saw some lionesses, giraffes, ostriches, lots of impala harem with the bachelor club near by. Then we went on to the Sopa lodge where there was a beautiful setting by the pool for a fabulous lunch. Back on the road at 4:00 pm and saw some more animals. Really too many to name!
Early this morning we drove to the park and we saw some cheetahs which are rarely seen. We also some lioness and male lion tracks and telling by his prints that he must be a very large lion!
We’ve continued on to the Manyara Serena Hotel for lunch and now are continuing on to the Ngorongoro Crater. The sun has come out and it’s a lovely warm day we even had a chance to go out and do some shopping, it’s been very nice! We are having a wonderful time. Everybody says hello, they are doing well and they are enjoying the trip. Take care, bye for now!

Giraffes can been seen where trees grow because they love to eat the tender leaves of the Acacia trees. They each have distinctive patterns which makes it easy for the viewer to tell them apart.
