Kilimanjaro Expedition Dispatch

September 19, 2008 – Team Gets Prepared at the Lemosho Glades Gate

Hello, this is Linda reporting! We are now at the Lemosho Glades gate. We are all well and have just finished a wonderful lunch. All of our crew, porters and guides, have signed in and registered and we are going to be on our way up to Kilimanjaro.

On our way here we saw our first glimpse of Kilimanjaro. It kind of looked like a cloud above the clouds, what a wonderful view! It wasn’t clear all the way but it was terrific. We also saw some Colobus monkeys in the trees on the way here. The drive here was very interesting, the road was dusty and a little bumpy but it was good.

We are all safe and we are all well. Love to everyone at home who wants to hear from us. Talk to you all again soon.
