Kilimanjaro Expedition Dispatch

August 3, 2008 – Michelle and Ian arrive in Africa

This is Angel from the Berg Adventures office in Arusha. Michelle and Ian arrived safely yesterday. The couple was very happy to meet us at the Airport. We brought the group to the Arusha Hotel where they settled in and rested.

Mt. Meru

We met the team this morning, 3rd Aug at 9am. We had an orientation, went through their gear and distributed the gear rentals.

After the orientation the group went for the famous Berg Adventures Mt. Meru foothill hike, where they had a great day. They really enjoyed the hike and they are already back at the hotel for some rest and preparation for tomorrow and the start of their climb.

The group will leave the hotel tomorrow at 10am and will have the overnight at The Snow Cap cottages where they will start climbing on Aug 05, 2008.
