September 13, 2017 – Celebration at Mweka Gate
The Mweka Gate, at Kilimanjaro National Park, is at 5, 430 feet (1,650 meters). It is the “end of the trail” for Kilimanjaro climbers and for this Berg Adventures team consisting of Andrea, Adriana and Josh, along with 56 of their BAI guides, staff and porters it was the end of a very successful trail indeed. They all made it!
We always take some time at the end of the trail for a celebration with all the staff. Tomorrow they will be leaving on their wildlife safari. The mountain staff will return to their families in the villages at the base of Kilimanjaro.
We hope the team sends us some more photos of their time spent on the top with their staff and we especially hope they send us photos from their wildlife safari. What an adventure that will be!
Congratulations once again to a fantastic team. Here are some photos from their celebration together on Thursday.
