June 2, 2014 – A Beautiful Acclimatization Day to Cerro Austria

Hello! This is Osvaldo calling from the Condoriri Base Camp. It is June 2nd and we have very nice weather today. It is a very warm and very sunny day with clear skies. We had quite a cold night but everything is okay.

Maria our cook has prepared a wonderful breakfast, with a lot of fresh fruit. We love the fresh food here and Maria is a very nice cook.

So today we are just getting ready to go to the Austria peak for our first acclimatization walk. We are planning to arrive on the top of Austria peak around 1 or 2 pm.

Everything is okay here, the weather is nice and hopefully it will be the same all of these days.

Hello, this is Osvaldo calling from the Condoriri Base Camp. We just arrived to base camp some minutes ago.

Today we went to the Austria peak and we made it to the top around 1:30 PM. Chris and Micheline are working very well. They are really motivated! We are surrounded by snowy peaks and they cannot wait to climb these peaks! Everything is okay here at Base Camp. The weather is clear, the sky is good. We have some wind but it is okay! We are just enjoying tea time. We will keep you posted.
