June 1, 2014 – Our Hike to El Calvario and then off to Condoriri Base Camp

After having lunch the girls returned to the Rosario hotel around 3 in the afternoon, but they decided to visit the place where we keep the image of the virgin of Copacabana.

This place is located at the top of a cliff we call ¨Calvario¨ , people come to this place to make offers or to pray. Chris offered some candles in the name of the people she had lost the last years.

We can say that Chris is a very catholic person, so she got really excited about this spiritual place.

Not only is this place religious, but also offers an incredible view of the Sun Island and the town. Micheline enjoyed this fantastic view, besides taking a look of another town called Kasani which belongs to Peru.

After this experience they also wanted to visit one more church of the town, (Virgin of Copacabana church). The church was like an art exhibition, because they could see many paintings and adorns in there.

After taking a look at the church they wanted to go the hotel and enjoy of the sunset, which looks wonderful over the lake.

Today they left at 9 in the morning to Condoriri, the girls had a good rest and they are excited about another adventure.

I just talked to Osvaldo and he told me that everything was going well and the girls were so happy to begin their expedition.

Hello, this is Osvaldo calling from Condoriri Base Camp. Today it was very nice weather. The sky is clear and we can see all of the peaks around us. We arrived here around 3 pm and everything is okay. These ladies are enjoying every minute here. We will keep you posted.
