Kilimanjaro Expedition Dispatch

December 16, 2011 – Off the Mountain and Back to Arusha

Hello this is Kyle Meyers with Bob Fox, Ryan Robinson and Michael Bush. We’ve made it down off the mountain and have signed in at the park gates. We are just waiting for our certificates that say we reached the summit. We reached Uhuru Peak at 9:55am yesterday. It was a good effort by all. There were some challenges, but everyone got through it. We’re down and everything is good.

I can’t wait to get home. Joanna, I love you. Mom, Dano, Dad see you in about a week now. Talk to you soon.

Hey this is Michael, we made it up and we made it all the way back down today. We had a great time. Excited for a shower and a clean bed!

Note from the office: Wally in our office spoke to Ryan this morning just after they arrived at the Mweka Gate of the National Park where they were about to eat a big lunch to celebrate their climb with their guides and staff. He was very excited about the climb. They will return to their hotel in Arusha this afternoon. Tomorrow the team will take a day trip to Ngorongoro Crater to see some wildlife before they head home.

We want to congratulate them again on their great climb!
