July 21, 2009 – Farewell and Asante!
Culture Day 6: Today the first step was the ‘Cave of God’. I was nervous about entering another cave, but “hakuna matata” it wasn’t actually a cave it was a crater, a huge hole in the ground created many years ago. We moved on and encounter a minor vehicle problem which resulted in us getting towed for repairs. We had lunch while the truck was getting fixed then we were off again.
We reach the camp site and it was almost like the first day on the mountains. There was my tent and my camping gear all set up. Table and chairs waiting for the weary traveler. After tea we hiked to a Masai Boma for a visit and then back to camp where I ate supper and then off to bed.

Culture day 7: Today our destination “Arusha” where my culture trip ends and my trip to Zanzibar will start. We were off early so that I could get prepared.
It has been a wonderful experience. Everyone involved has been sensitive to my needs and I have been made to feel very comfortable and safe in this far off land. I truly enjoyed every minute and again wish to thank Berg Adventures and everyone involved in my trip.
Asante! (thank you in Swahili)
