July 7, 2009 – Morning at Big Tree Camp
Hello this is Marjorie calling you from Big Tree Camp at 9,200 ft (2804m). Yesterday we hiked up through the old growth forest and I am doing very well. Today we are hiking up the Shira ridge, then descending down to camp two on the Shira Plateau at 11,450 ft (3500m).
There is a reason they call it “Big Tree Camp”
as many surround us at camp one
