March 11, 2008 – Team Happy to be Back Down at Mweka Gates

Hello this is Tracy calling you from safari land.

Yesterday was an invigorating day as we woke up with cheers and singing from staff at our last camp. As much as we enjoyed our journey up Kilimanjaro, our mission was accomplished and we were more than ready to get down to the gates!

Everyone including our fabulous support team was happy to be finished. We were welcomed by Angel and the crew at Mweka Gates for a celebration, more songs and a delicious lunch.

As the porters came back from loading our stuff on the bus, we said our goodbyes to the family we became. We could have not done it without them and appreciated their hard work every step of the way. Thank you
