August 24, 2008 – We Arrived in Africa – Mt. Meru Hike
Famous waterfall on Mt. Meru
This is Angel - The group was picked up from the Airport with Angel, Julius and David. We brought Lisa and Paul to the Arusha Hotel where they settled in.
We met them this morning at 9:30 am for a climbing orientation. After the orientation, Lisa and Paul left for a Mount Meru foothill hike with our guides Julius and Rodrick . I have just call Julius and they are now entering the Masai Boma.
The team leaves tomorrow, Aug 25th, for Kilimanjaro. We will pick them up at the hotel at 9:30am and stop at Marangu gate to get the permits and take photos. We will then drive to the Snow cap cottages where the group and the crews will have the overnight ready to start their Kili climb on 26th Aug.
