Hello this is Garrett Huffines for the dispatch on July 20, 2008. Yesterday we left the Ngorongoro Crater and flew to the Serengeti which is the largest park in Tanzania. We landed inside the Serengeti National Park and immediately spotted our last of the “Big 5”, the elusive leopard. Also, on our two hour journey to our hotel, we spotted three big animals, the topi gazelle, the eland gazelle and the servals cat. My favorite encounter that day was seeing a mating lion couple who were nearly 15 feet away. When we finally arrived at our camp hotel we were surprised to see cape buffalo grazing outside of our tent windows. We ended our exciting and successful day with a beautiful sunset and the best dinner we have had on our safari.
