Mount Aratat & the Wonders of Turkey Expedition Dispatch

September 7, 2019 – Arriving in Istanbul

Rob and Chuck arrived in Istanbul after a long flight from Vancouver. They met Wally at the Four Seasons Hotel, a real sanctuary in the middle of Istanbul's Old City, Sultanahmet. They decided to meet for breakfast the following morning and have a quick walking sightseeing in the afternoon before leaving for Cappadocia.

Rob and Chuck arrived at the Four Seasons Hotel at night with stunning views of Hagia Sophia; a former Greek Orthodox cathedral, later an Ottoman imperial and now a museum.
