January 1, 2019 – The Team is Moving Up!

Weather continues to be nearly perfect. These shots from Osvi show the team first trip to Plaza Canada, Camp I on the mountain. The following day the team moved into this Camp.

Osvaldo called up with a message on New year’s day that they had successfully completed their first carry to Nido de Condor camp at 18,000 feet!

The team will send photos from higher on the mountain as they can. We are wishing them continued good weather and good luck. We know that they will take their time and make the right calls. They have everything they need up there, including a couple of climbers who took this climb seriously and got themselves ready. It is paying off!
