Why climb with Berg Adventures

Everest Base Camp Trek Dispatch

April 22, 2016 – Our First View of Mount Everest!

Ang Temba called the BAI office from Panorama Lodge at about 9:00pm Nepal time just before 9:00 in the morning for us.

It sounds like Friday went very well for Kylie, Garv and for their staff. A relaxing Namche day.

Early in the morning the team walked up to the National Park View point to view Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam and the other great peaks visible from above town.

Afterward they took it easy; some naps in the comfortable beds at Panorama seemed like the thing to do.

The weather seems to be changing a bit – more clouds are coming. Tomorrow the team will walk out the Bhote Kosi River to the village of Thame, which is on the way to the Tibetan border. They will stay at the lodge owned by Dr. Kami Sherpa from the Khunde Hospital. Thame has always been one of our favorite Sherpa villages and we know that Kylie and Garv will love it there.

Meanwhile here are some photos from this morning.

The trail to adventures ahead. After our visit to Thame we will start up in this direction to see the Everest Region up close.
