June 13, 2015 – The Team Summits Pequeno Alpamayo
Hi everyone, this is Trevor Stuart calling in from Condoriri base camp. We have just had a very successful, unbelievable climb of Pequeno Alpamayo today at 17,880ft. We summited at 11:50 am. We started at 3:30 in the morning, 4 am to climb. We got down at about 4:50 pm. So it was a long day, it may have even been 5 when we got back.
Now we are all having soup, we are all doing well. What an unbelievable day. The skies, the wind was up high when we left and then it died off for summit bid and it was amazing, just gorgeous, stunning views. Wow, it was awe-inspiring! I'm so happy to have done that, it took me to a level I have never been before in the sense of the climbing world, as well as with the others.
There is a lot of exhausted people in camp tonight. We are just hoping for a good night’s rest. We are out of here tomorrow for La Paz for one day and then we are headed to the huge Sajama and we are going to summit that in three or four days from now. So keep us in your payers, keep the fundraiser going.
Everyone here at base camp from the Berg Adventures group send their love to everyone. They are all just so exhausted, in the food tent just chowing down.
I'll let you all go and i hope the fundraiser is doing awesome!
