February 18, 2015 – Acclimatization Hikes Around Lagoon Santa Rosa
Hello, this is Osvaldo calling from the Santa Rosa Lagoon. We are 3,800m above sea level.
Today we climbed Maricunga Peak. We started this morning around 9 o’clock and just got back about 1 hour ago, so we climbed for 8 hours. It was really nice but a bit windy on the way down. We got a really clear sky and the view was spectacular from the Maricunga Peak.
By the way Maricunga is at the elevation of 4,900 meters. It was possible for us to see all of the Santa Rosa Lagoon and some other places around.
I will keep you posted.
Bye for a while.
