Berg Adventures Joints In Motion Patagonia Trek Dispatch
October 24, 2010 – Settling in at Los Cuernos
This is Leila Silveira reporting from Torres del Paine. Today the team, led by our extremely knowledgeable Chilean guide Roberto Carlos, moved on from our hotel at Las Torres to continue the W trek. The hike took them along trails beside Lake Nordenskjold and they were fortunate to have amazing weather, clear skies and little wind. They spent the night at Los Cuernos in a beautiful private cabin that fits two trekkers each, where they enjoyed their dinner at the restaurant of the main lodge. It was an excellent dinner with great service.
Sharon has been taking lots of photos and can’t wait to return home to show them to her neighbors, Dannee who is three years old, and Joyce who is eight. While she's traveling, they are taking care of her German Shepherd, Rub. She'll be able to give a nice long slide show with the number of photos she is taking. And who can blame her: the weather has been great and everywhere we turn is a Kodak moment!
George is commemorating 23 years of marriage and he wishes to send his love to his wife today from Patagonia.
