Berg Adventures Joints In Motion Patagonia Trek Dispatch
October 23, 2010 – Hiking the First Leg of the “W”
Here we are at 51 degrees south on our “W” trek which is the classic and best-known route for trekking in Torres del Paine National Park.
Its name, "W", comes from the way it resembles that letter on a map. The route allows exploration of a large section of Torres del Paine National Park with views of some of the most beautiful places in the wilds of Patagonia such as the Torres del Paine, Lake Grey, and Valle del Francés.
This morning Sue, Sharon, George and Reginald met Roberto Carlos, our Chilean guide, and they started the first leg of the “W” trek together.
They got back to the hotel tired and happy, with some great photos.
It's been another beautiful day here in Patagonia, and we really can’t complain about the weather!
