May 14, 2010 – Hiking from Pheriche to Lobuche

This is Temba calling from Lobuche which is almost 16,000ft/4,875m above sea level. We started out early from Pheriche this morning and we got very lucky with the weather, it was a beautiful day to be on the trail. We stopped and had lunch at Dukla and took a lot of breaks to take photographs as we headed up the trail on our way to Lobuche.

Everybody's feeling ok. Some people have light headaches, but that's normal at this altitude and everyone is handling it really well. Tomorrow night we will stay in Gorak Shep which is a couple extra hours of hiking up from Lobuche.
