Hanesbrands International and Friends of Jamie Clarke EBC Trek Dispatch
May 16, 2010 – Team Hanesbrands 2 arrives at Base Camp
It is tough to get all the way to EBC, at 17,500 feet/5300 meters above sea level. And once you are there it is tough to even move around; you are literally living on a glacier! Ang Temba and the team arrived in time for lunch on May 16th. They are staying tonight and tomorrow before heading down to Pheriche and back towards Kathmandu.
For now, they are enjoying the excitement and buzz here at Base Camp as Jamie is about to head for the summit!
