November 5, 2009 – Group Arrives in Lukla and Starts Their Trek
This is Temba sending you an update from Phakding. We had beautiful fight early this morning out of Kathmandu. After landing in Lukla we started walking at about 9 am, and stopped to have lunch at Thadokhoshi. We arrived at Phakding, our first lodge, around 3pm. We had a very nice hike and everybody is doing very well.
The plane has landed on the famous Lukla airstrip and George W is the first one out
