Why climb with Berg Adventures

Everest Base Camp Trek Dispatch

April 5, 2009 – Team Arrives at Pangboche

Ang Temba called our BAI Canada office at 12:30 PM Nepal time to day. He was calling from Pangboche where he and his wife Yangzing operate their lodge, The Highland Sherpa Resort, which is an important headquarters for Berg Adventures in the Khumbu. Temba said that the entire group is feeling good as they climb higher. The elevation in Pangboche just over 13,000 ft (4000 m) Jim especially is feeling better; Temba told us that in both Bhutan and Nepal, Jim seems to feel better as he goes higher!

The weather continues to be excellent as our group moves closer toward Everest Base Camp. This morning the group went to receive their blessings from Lama Geshi. Lunch is just now over and the group will continue on to Pheirche. Here are some photos of the beauty and the people they are encountering along the trail to Everest.
