December 26, 2018 – Hike to Confluencia
On Wednesday we actually entered Aconcagua Provincial Park. It was a hot hike to the first Camp, Confluencia at 11,000ft. (3,352m) The mules carried our duffel bags of course. Confluencia is a two night camp.
In addition to a chance for a great acclimatization hike to climb to 13,123ft. (4,000m.) to see the south face of Aconcagua, we are required to pass our first exam by a physician before we continue to higher altitudes.

We made it to Confluencia!

Kara getting her oxygen saturation, blood pressure, pulse rate checked.

John getting his check up at 11,000. Everyone looks great to continue!
