Aconcagua Expedition Dispatch
December 26, 2018 – Hike to Confluencia
On Wednesday we actually entered Aconcagua Provincial Park. It was a hot hike to the first Camp, Confluencia at 11,000ft. (3,352m) The mules carried our duffel bags of course. Confluencia is a two night camp.
In addition to a chance for a great acclimatization hike to climb to 13,123ft. (4,000m.) to see the south face of Aconcagua, we are required to pass our first exam by a physician before we continue to higher altitudes.
