High Passes of Everest Dispatches
Sharks do the Everest Region
October 29 – November 19, 2018
Jim Bilings, Les Dewitt, Hank Skade and Bob Wyler have been best friends since they were graduated from school in Eugene Oregon in 1970.
Through family life, sport life and business the sharks have continued to share adventures over the decades. Wally Berg was inducted into the Sharks circles 20 years ago during a long but fruitful period of delays on the Ice at 81 degrees south in Antarctica and in the bars of Punta Arenas, Chile while we waited for our transport to Vinson Massif, the highest point in the continent of Antarctica.
We climbed Vinson of course and now we are together again for further adventures in the high mountains In addition to climbing to Everest Base Camp we will traverse from the Base of Mount Everest via the high remote passes. The Cho La ad the Ringo La.
If you like lamas, yaks, high mountains, stunning scenery, monasteries and cold frosty mornings in the Himalayans, this is the trip for you. Follow along! We will send photos when we can.
