June 7, 2018 – Amazing Views from the Observatory

Beautiful day - we hiked for 7 hours, climbing to the observatory above the village of Terskol, weather was beautiful and we knew that we'd had some exercise by the time we returned to Terskol at the end of the day!

As we climbed, we looked down on the structures built to control avalanches in this wild mountain environment. The winters are big here!

Later we encountered many sheep, which are grazed by locals living in Terskol

Just in time we found a beautiful waterfall

Refreshing on a hot summer day

At the top we approached the observatory but it is closed to the public

The views are really spectacular
