Bolivia Expedition Dispatch
May 25, 2017 – Huyana Potosi Base Camp
Yesterday on our way to Huayna base camp we stopped at Chacaltaya as planned and did a hike up to 4,870m. Then we came down and kept driving to the Refugio Huayna Potosi where we will spend the next few nights in order to acclimatize and get ready to our summit day that is currently planned for Monday May 29th, weather permitting. On Sunday, May 28th we will climb to high camp to spend the night before our summit attempt.
Today we left the refugio around 9:30am and hiked up to the glacier HP where we did some glacier practice
Tomorrow we are planning to return to the glacier and do some more acclimatizing and glacier training.
