Ecuador Volcanoes Expedition Dispatch

October 30, 2016 – Our First Summit - Guagua Pichincha

Right above the city we had a great hike to altitude. Joaquin reported to us that they left the Marriott after breakfast. Their goal was to attempt the active stratovolcano Guagua Pichincha. They were lucky to reach the summit with clear skies but on the descent clouds came in and there was no visibility.

No big deal they we are back at the hotel and tomorrow it will be time to move on. We are getting ready to move to the beautiful Hacienda Cusin at Otavalo.
