Ecuador Volcanoes Expedition Dispatch

October 29, 2016 – Team Meeting at the Marriott Hotel in Quito

Joaquin Ortiz, Berg Adventures Ecuadorian guide, met with Paule and Linda at the Marriott Hotel where they had a briefing and went through the itinerary and discuss the plans for the following day.

Tomorrow they are climbing Guagua Pichincha, 15.696ft/4,784m, our first acclimatization hike. Pichincha is located above the city of Quito. The summit is composed of several spire shaped rocks. This is not a technical climb but due to its altitude and being our first hike it will be challenging.

Our first meeting was at our hotel, the Marriot in Quito. Great location!

Paule and Linda both have been to Elbrus and Aconcagua with Berg Adventures. After lots of planning they are finally in Quito, ready for their next adventure.
