Everest Base Camp Trek Dispatch
April 20, 2016 – Nothing More Thrilling Than landing in Lukla Early in the Morning
Gave told us that he could not sleep the night before because he was so excited. 5:30 AM came early, and as you can tell from these photos things went perfectly. By just after 7:00AM, Garv, Kylie, Temba and Min were standing in Lukla!
They quickly got these photos off to us before they began trekking to Phakding, a beautiful village along the Dudh Kosi River. By early afternoon the team had already made it to Phakding. Something tells us the team will sleep well tonight, nothing like the sound of rushing Himalayan glacier water outside your window to sooth you to sleep.
