Everest Base Camp Trek Dispatch
October 21, 2015 – Back to Kathmandu!
Early this morning, our helicopter arrived to begin shuttling us from Gorak Shep over 16,000ft/5,000m to Kathmandu.
The ride down the glacier was amazing!
We quickly flew over the same terrain that took us days to walk up.
Gordon was on the second shuttle.
The team regrouped and continued from Pheriche to Lukla.
Lots of tired going around, but it was nice to be heading back after a successful expedition.

All back in Lukla by 10:30 am. We took three separate helicopter shuttles from Pheriche. Rob and Min rode down in the last one.
We got the opportunity to say hi and offer best wishes to the Berg Adventures Ama Dablam team, who are just beginning their expedition.
