February 2, 2015 – Trevor from Plaza Canada Reporting His Day at Nido

Hi this is Trevor calling from the mountain, Elevating Lives, one peak at a time, hoping that YMCA is doing well with its fundraising campaign.

Today we hiked all the way up to Nido de Condores which is camp 2, at 18,300 ft. I started off with a headache for the first hour and a ½ but it cleared up and I felt good. Now we are back at Plaza Canada. We are all done dinner, everyone is kind of in their tent, ready for bed.

So, we leave camp 1 tomorrow, we are heading up again with lighter packs this time to camp 2 to sleep overnight. We are sitting here and it is awesome because we are way up on the mountain. It is very windy at night and it kind of dies down during the day which is a blessing. Anyway, we are strong, doing well, everything is going great and I am sending here all my love and hope to talk to you tomorrow night from camp 2.

On the move to Nido de Condor carrying a huge pack
