Aconcagua Expedition Dispatch
February 1, 2015 – “The Team is Doing Great – We Are Really Solidified Now”
Well we occupied camp 1, Plaza Canada, we are on the mountain now, we moved up from base camp and we intend to stay here until we reach the summit in a few days.
It is interesting; the team looks much stronger when they arrived here today than they did when they were here 2 days ago. The team is doing great, the team is really solidified now and we are ready to climb a mountain.
Maria had the camp set up and she is serving tea with a beautiful Bolivian rug spread out and she is serving hot drinks.
It is very mild temperatures for the elevation of 16,500 feet / 5,600 metres. The wind has picked up a little bit right now and we may see an increase tonight; but we are snug on our north face tents and we are getting ready for our first night on the mountain. The team is doing great.
