January 27, 2015 – Trevor Enjoys Acclimatization
Hey everyone this is Trevor calling from the mountain. It is a beautiful evening with clear skies, very very warm.
We hiked today, quite a ways as an optional day hike. Some people stayed in their tents and rested up. Some of the climbers turned around halfway and came back to camp.
So today has been a really good acclimatization day for many people.
It is hot and dusty. There is no snow here right now. It is going to get colder when we leave for Plaza de Mulas tomorrow, which is our Base Camp, from our camp that we are at right now.
It is going very well. There has been a lot of issues dealing with acclimatization already but everything is working out. Everyone is doing awesome. We all got our doctor check up here just before we head out to Base Camp tomorrow and checking our O2 levels and our heart rates and all that.
So it’s been really good.
Alright so you probably hear a chopper in the background. It’s been flying in and out of here all day bringing supplies and picking up the people that live in this camp and taking them down. It has been quite awesome.
Anyways we will talk to you from Plaza de Mulas and goodnight everyone.
