Aconcagua Expedition Dispatch

January 25, 2015 – Trevor Stuart Calls in from Penitentes

Hello this is Trevor and I am calling in from Argentina.

So we are heading out tomorrow. We are going to be heading out off the trailhead to go up to camp Confluencia at 11,000ft.

Today we are sitting at 8,500ft in a little hotel along the highway. We are all packed and ready to go. Everyone is doing awesome and I know we are going to do very well.

What we did today was just drove down and visited the memorial to see where lots of people are resting after not making it on Aconcagua. That was quite an experience. Very sobering. I found myself internalizing a lot. The reason for being here is to raise money and awareness for YWCA Lethbridge district and hopefully end family violence. So I’m hoping this works.

Thanks to everyone who has helped with the fundraiser and supported the cause. Thanks to the YWCA for getting behind me and training me. All the other people that have helped to along the way, it’s been amazing. So keep up the good work.

We head out tomorrow morning. So I will talk to you tomorrow night from camp hopefully around 6PM.
