Aconcagua Expedition Dispatch
January 25, 2015 – Preparing for Aconcagua
We arrived at our hotel last night where we will be staying as we acclimatize. Today we drove to the pass between Chile and Argentina and we experienced breathing at 3,800m/12,500ft for the first time on this trip. Beautiful day with spectacular views. We got our first full view of Aconcagua. We stopped to take photographs and got really inspired. The air was really thin but the weather was spectacular!
We are back now at the hotel and we have a lot of organizing to do; tomorrow morning we will leave for our first camp, Confluencia.
