Elbrus Expedition Dispatch
July 6, 2014 – July 6 Was Our Welcome to Mount Elbrus Day
Our goal today was to climb roughly ½ the vertical distance from “The Barrels” where we are staying to the summit of Elbrus.
The top of Pashtukov Rocks at about 4,700m is a good push from where we are now staying at 3,800m.
Vladimir and I thought that it would be a bit cloudy today, but, wow, we had no idea how much the wind would be blowing.
It was a good “Welcome to Mount Elbrus” day and the entire team performed very well.

Not a pretty day but Micheline, Don and Johanna are ready to go!
